New Orleans Saints Mascot: Gumbo.

The New Orleans Saints has two official mascots for the Football League.The other is Sir Saint and another one is Gumbo the dog . But in this article, we are more focused on talking about Gumbo, the watchdog of the New Orleans Saints Football League.

Gumbo is in the form of a Saint Bernard dog that proudly wears the number 00 on his Saints jacket.Gumbo was a gift to the Saints by the Louisiana Restaurant Association.The name Gumbo reflects the Restaurant Association as well as a famous traditional Cajun meal loved by the young and the old, the rich and the poor.

Gumbo’s favorites when it comes to food are the crispy Fried Falcon, Panther Stew, Buccaneer Brownies.His favorite television shows that he loves to watch are the New Orleans Saints games and Animal Planet.Gumbo watches movies like, All Dogs Go to Heaven and Beethoven. He is also a music lover and often listens to the songs like, “Who Let the Dogs Out, Saints Go Marching In, and The Saints are Coming”.As a loyal supporter of New Orleans Football team, he also loves the colors black and gold .

Like any other dogs, he plays with kids, cruises around on his New Orleans Saints Scooter in the French Quarter, reads books about sports, and lovers to marching in Mardi Gras Parades showing off the team’s NFL jackets.

Sports activities, social events, charities and media conferences of the New Orleans Saints Football team is also participated by Gumbo . He remains to be everyone’s best friend, especially to the team, a watchdog and a member of the family for the New Orleans Saints.

As a dog, Gumbo is very useful for the New Orleans Saints Football Team for it is he who will guard the team from opponents.Gumbo will defend the Saints from its treacherous predators in different jackets, as well.The name Gumbo will always be instilled in the hearts and mind of every supporter of the New Orleans Saints, as well as to its players.
