Keeping up with such scheduling and records is a very tough thing for most assistants to have to do, even though they have software to assist them in many cases.

One of the toughest parts of the job is handling the insurance companies, and it seems as though the assistants perform the largest part of the duties when it comes to dealing with these companies. It is not uncommon for these people to be on the phone for extended time periods dealing with insurance companies. Most of the paper work that gets filed and sent to the providers is also done by these people.

There are occasions when these workers might be dealing with certain procedures that are being performed on a client. In many cases the dentist will actually leave the X-Ray work to these assistants. It is also not uncommon for these assistants to be handling and working with many tools during various types of procedures. It is all just another part of the job really.

This type of job is not for everybody but many people do like the idea of earning 30k+ in an environment not as stressful as most that present within most hospitals.
