Properly Applying Your Car Graphics

By Stan Neal

If you are looking to promote your business to people on the go; you may want to consider car graphics. Although there are companies who can install these vehicle graphics for you, it can be cost effective to install them for you. For this application process, you do need to proceed with caution as a bad install can create bubbles under the graphics and potentially result in damage.

For the installation, you need to ensure that you have things like an application spray, masking tape and a squeegee to use. Your car in turn should be clean and free from any debris. To achieve this, it can be a good idea to wash the vehicle in an enclosed space with warm water and a mild soap and then ensure it is dried with a cloth that is lint free. Once the car is clean and dry, you should then allow it to sit in an environment with a controlled temperature so the vehicle remains between 50 degrees and 90 degrees. This is important as you are going to find in hotter temperatures the decal is going to end up slipping as the adhesive becomes slippery, while colder temperatures will cause the decal to become brittle and it will tear easily.

Once this is done, you can apply your car graphics melbourne. If you don't have an application spray, you can take the time to place the decals directly on the surface of your vehicle. Usually, this approach is only recommended for those who have some experience as placement of the decal is going to be permanent. This will mean you need to focus on exact precision when you are placing your panels.

The other option will be to use an application spray. When you choose to use an application spray, you can move the panels as needed, until they have set. At that point, your application will be permanent. For those doing their first application of vehicle graphics melbourne, this will be the better way to go.

Often, it will be a good idea to do a dry run with your car graphics to ensure you know where they are supposed to go. It will be at this point you can then begin to spray on your application adhesive and prepare to install the panels. You can then place the vinyl directly on the car and stretch it slightly as you apply it. Once it is in place, you will want to run a squeegee over it to ensure that it is installed smoothly and any excess buildup is removed. Making sure that while you do this, you go in one direction from the center to the edges of each panel.

With a little practice, you are going to find that the application of your car graphics will be done effectively. Of course, if you aren't comfortable with the process, you can always choose to use a professional for your installation.
