Boost Your Conversions When You Know How To Get Testimonials

By Rueben Filipiak

Who knows the number of illegitimate products available on the web in which something about it is a lie. Solid and strong testimonials can go a very long way, but it really just depends on the niche you are in. We want to show you how you can approach customers with the aim of getting a good testimonial.

If you have heard of flogs, fake blogs, then you know the deal when it comes to marketers being all too willing to lie about testimonials. This has lead to suspicion and doubt in the mind of people nowadays, which is why they happen to question the authenticity of any product or service before they buy them. If you look at it in a broad way, it's not their fault and they have every right to do so. There are some people who will never believe you, or us, but that is ok because if you offer a solid product that is real - enough people will find out about it. The best thing you can offer is a video testimonial, and then at least have a picture with their name and location. Probably the worst testimonials are those with just a first name and no picture or anything.

If you really want to knock people for a loop, then do all you can to get video testimonials. The emotional impact is just so much greater there is almost no comparison. There is obviously so much more available to you with video, and that is part of the power. Video testimonials create a more real and sincere atmosphere in the minds of those who watch them. Most sites do not take advantage of video testimonials, so there is still a novelty aspect to them. When you think about what needs to be done for someone to send you a video, then you will understand why they are more rare. The best approach is to just ask for one, and if possible you will get it. There is a reason why video products cost more than written, and it is because people think they are more valuable.

Sometimes we come across testimonials that seem to be neatly tucked away and out of site. If people cannot find your testimonials very easily, then chances are great they will not see them. It all depends on how many you have, but no matter what just make them prominent. Put them up anywhere you feel they would influence the buying decision of your potential customers. The more testimonials you have, then that will give you greater flexibility and power.

As you can see, you have many options available to you in your pursuit of getting quality "success stories" and testimonials.
