The Ten Commandments List Reviewed

By Jason Nolan

The Ten Commandments are a series of religious principles pertaining to God's guidelines on belief and worship. These biblical teachings serve an important and fundamental function in Judaism and almost all sects of Christianity. The ten commandments teach to love the true God and to stop work on the day of Sabbath. The Ten Commandments also prohibit any forms of idolatry, cheating, heresy, murder and thievery. There are multiple versions of the ten commandments as they're examined and deciphered differently by the many religious groups.

The ten commandments list is brought up twice in the Hebrew Bible. As said in the Exodus, God wrote The Commandments on two tablets and put them on Mount Sinai to Moses.

It is disappointing the amount of Christians and Jews claim to know The Commandments yet either don't know them or have some very wrong. Conveniently we've compiled the contents of the New Living Translation version of the Ten Commandments List.

They are as follows: 1. "Don't love any gods besides me." 2. "Thou shall not create gods of any type" 3. "Don't misuse the name of your God" 4. "Don't forget to observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy..." 5. "Honor your mom and dad" 6. "Do not kill." 7. "Do not engage adultery." 8. "Thou shall not thieve." 9. "Do not swear falsely opposite your neighbor." 10. "Thou shall not covet your neighbor's objects."

You're able to read all of them on our new site. You shall also discover extremely in-depth information on the precise significance of any commandment. Don', like most people, misunderstand the commandments. With your newfound understanding of them you can now able to educate your friends or family.

It is extremely important for people to understand what the commandments really mean. Too many people who think of themselves as religious are unable to describe them all.
