Similar with the antiviral medications, there too are some natural and herbal remedies that can be done at home. One effective cure is ice pack application on the affected part of the body, which is proven to be helpful in stopping further development of the blisters and sores. Coconut oil can do wonders for both oral and genital herpes. Blisters sand sores can be treated right away with the used of aloe vera oil since it contains anti-inflammatory components that can cure the infection quickly. Petroleum jelly, garlic, tea tree oil, and moist tea bags can also be used as natural remedies for infections brought on by herpes. You also have the choice of Chamomile, Lemon Balm, Neem, Echinacea, and Licorice.

So, for herpes, you can also use these alternative treatment methods. As long as the outbreak is mild, natural remedies have been proven to be very effective, however, when it is more sever, anitviral medicine is required. However, it is still best to seek medical advice for the herpes infections to be evaluated earlier and correct treatments are given in the right time.

Despite the various treatments, it is still best to prevent getting the disease to begin with. Those infected should be very careful when it comes to hygiene. One of the quickest ways to help cure sores and blisters is by putting on cotton clothes and underwear. To avoid spreading the virus, one who has herpes should not have any kind of sexual intercourse, especially during outbreaks, and should have proper protection.
