New Zealand offers a change of lifestyle

By Michelle Flanagan

If you are looking for a change of lifestyle in a country that has a great likeness to the UK then New Zealand could be one country where you may consider migrating to. New Zealand offers a plethora of options to anyone who may choose to migrate there, including great education, work and lifestyle choices which many people prefer to what they currently have within the UK.

For someone who is looking for a little change in their life, New Zealand is very much the land of opportunity. For potential migrants it can offer a great opportunity for a completely new lifestyle and in some situations, a new start. The Skilled Migration category is one popular way that people apply for visas to work and live within New Zealand and if you want to do this then you must go through the Expression of Interest (EOI) program.

New Zealand offers an EOI system in order to streamline the processing of Skilled Migration visas. Helping to make the process a great deal easier and quicker for everyone, applicants are invited to lodge an initial EOI application which will be judged by the Government before a full application needs to be made. This saves a great deal of time as they will only continue with people who they feel have the potential for successful migration.

Weighing heavily in your EOI application are your education, qualifications and work experience and if you do have a potential job offer then this could be considered quite seriously throughout the application process. Having a job offer can dramatically increase your chances of success and if you are considering an application then this could be a great place to start.

If your EOI is successful then you may be invited to apply for skilled migration to New Zealand. It's important that you understand this does not automatically guarantee you a skilled migration visa and you could still potentially be rejected if your qualifications or experience do not match what is required.
